Dakota the Avian Engineer

Known in-game as "The Librarian," because he's known to catalog all of his work. He doesn't like when things are out of place.
(Yes, I know that according to the Starbound Lore, the Avians are Mayan. Just give it a rest.)
He's a short-tempered Aussie with numerous scholarship degrees. He wears them like a badge, and is quick to think he's the smartest man in the room, even if a Glitch is present. 
With an Associates degree in physics, two Bachelors degrees in math and science, and a Masters degree in engineering, this Avian is a true egghead.  ^{*BA DUM TSSH*}

His short-temper and knowledge of physics makes him perfectly capable of punting your sorry ass across the room.

He's cocky, stubborn, and narcissistic, but overall intelligent in his field.

The only other crew member he trusts enough to help him with his work is Mitre.
